Dagdusheth Ganpati temple has an important ‘Flag Changing Ritual’ which is conducted on Sankashti Chaturthi, Vinayaki Chaturthi and Angarki Chaturthi every month. The flag atop the temple is replaced with a new flag in this ritual.
Important Note: Dhwaja (Flag) Service will be offered at the temple on behalf of the devotees. Only one slot will be available for booking. The slot will be allotted to the devotee on a first come basis. The Dhwaja (Flag) will be given by the Trust. Devotees are requested not to bring their own Dhwaja (Flag).

Shishu Poojan Seva:

Shishu Poojan pooja is ardently performed for a child and the mother’s good health and to bless them with the strength to overcome any difficulty in life. The Pooja is performed by the father who humbly seeks blessings from Maa Saraswati for an enriching education for his child. This Pooja is an appeal to Maa Saraswati - an incarnation of Goddesses Siddhi and Buddhi, and Lord Ganesha which is very beneficial to the child and his/her mother.
Rituals:During the Pooja, father recites ‘Panchvakyatmak Punyahwaachan’ which is the Panchopchar worship of Lord Ganesha and Lord Varuna. After that, Aarti is performed for the baby, his/her mother and father.
The following Mantra is recited in the Shishu Poojan –
गौरीपुत्रौ यथा स्कन्द शिशुत्वे रक्षितः पुरा तथा ममाप्युयं बालं षष्ठिके रक्ष ते नमः॥
This mantra seeks protection for the baby and prosperity in education from Morya and his brother Skanda.
Shishu Poojan is specially performed at Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple with fervor. Devotees are encouraged to benefit from this Seva and seek beloved Bappa’s blessings for infants and their mothers.

शिशूपुजनाचा संकल्प हा पित्याकडून होतो तो खालील प्रमाणे
माता व शिशु यांना उत्तम आरोग्य व भविष्यात येणारी अरिष्ट निरसनार्थ व शिशुला विद्या सरस्वती यांची अनुकूलता व्हावी हा संकल्प होतो. ह्या ठिकाणी आवर्जुन सांगावयास वाटते विदया,सरस्वती म्हणजेच सिद्धी बुद्धी ह्यांचे अधिष्ठित देवता आपले गणपती बाप्पा आहेत त्यांचे पुढे शिशु पूजन करणे अर्थातच दुग्ध शर्करा योग.
पुजनविधी:
शिशु पूजनामध्ये पंचवाक्यात्मक पुण्याहवाचन करावे लागते. म्हणजे गणपती व वरुण ह्यांची पंचोपचार पूजा करतात. व नंतर बाळ, त्यांचे माता व पिता ह्यांना औक्षण करतात.

Bappa is worshiped by applying the ‘Vasantik Utee’ (fragrant paste of sandalwood) which is made of authentic sandalwood powder and fragrances, specially ordered from Mysore. As a part of the customs, during this Utsav, Bappa is showered with about ten million flowers of Mogra. The temple premises are filled with the mesmerizing fragrance of sandalwood and Mogra flowers. The sanctorum, walls, pillars, and all the parts of the temple are beautifully decorated with Mogra flowers.
Flowers in this service will be offered to Lord Ganesha by the Trust from the honorarium of the devotees.

People who want to offer coconuts to Bappa but cannot be present in the temple can provide their name and Gotra, pay the fees and book the seva.
